Apple plans its biggest-ever iMac model to launch in 2021

Earlier this year, a report by Bloomberg had claimed that in 2021, Apple is planning its first redesign of the iMac.

“The iMac redesign will be one of the biggest visual updates to any Apple product this year,” the report had stated.

As part of this overhaul, it appears that the company may launch its largest screen size of the iMac.

According to a report by MacRumors, notable tipster L0vetodream has suggested that the upcoming model of the iMac will be replacing the 27-inch size.

“The private tweet translates to “The ‌iMac‌’s screen is really big, bigger than the biggest one,” states the report.

The design overhaul is said to be a part of moving away from Intel processors to the company’s own silicon chipsets.

In February, Jon Prosser — the YouTuber who has been often correct when it comes to giving tips about what Apple is working on — had claimed that the company is going to use the same colors as the fourth-generation iPad Air from last year for its next iMac models.

As per Prosser, this move to introduce colour options in the iMac models will strike the chord with those who loved the original ‌iMac‌ models that were available in colors like lime, strawberry, blueberry, grape, and tangerine back in the 90s.
